I've heard that the award nominations deadline has been extended to March 13. Good I will have time to nominate a trustee, an outstanding librarian and someone who does outstanding service. The award I want to be nominated for is the Fill in the Blank Award. I know that from my many accomplishments I should get a nomination. Now that the shortest days are upon us, we can take comfort in this: we are ever more close to February 14, 2009, which is the start of spring training for Major League Baseball. There is still time to submit a program proposal for the Rural Libraries Conference! We are extending the submission date for conference program proposals for the Rural Libraries Conference to September 12th. Thank you to those who have submitted proposals already. Well, it is time to plan the Rural & Small Libraries Conference for 2009 already! Time goes by quickly, for certain. We are negotiating a contract with the Grand Traverse Resort and hoping to have April 29-May 1, 2009 for RLC.
